Recipe of Veg Arrabiata Pasta

Veg Arrabiata pasta is one of Italian dish and arrabiata means angry in the Italian language. The word 'angry' here is referred to the spiciness in pasta because of red chili flakes. It can be prepared easily with the ingredients available in our home. It is a quick, easy and yummy recipe.

Veg arrabiata pasta
Ingredients-
For Pasta-
2 cups Pasta
2 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon salt (for boiling pasta)
For Arrabiata sauce-
2 large tomatoes
For making Veg Arrabiata pasta-
7-10 garlic cloves
2 tablespoon red chili flakes
2 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 cup capsicum (chopped)


Procedure-
 Cooking of Pasta-
1. Heat 2 cups of water, add 1/2 teaspoon salt and bring it to a boil.
2. Now add the pasta and cook it on a medium flame till the pasta is done.
3. Strain the pasta and keep it aside.
Making Arrabiata sauce-
1. Chop the tomatoes and them to the blender.
2. Blend it to a smooth paste and keep aside.
Making Veg Arrabiata pasta-
1. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan, add the finely chopped garlic and saute it.
2. Now add the chili flakes and fry for few seconds.
3. Then add the chopped capsicum and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
4. Add the prepared arrabiata sauce (tomato puree), oregano and salt (as required). Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
5. Add the pasta and mix well to ensure the pasta is well coated in the sauce. 
6. Remove from the flame and serve hot.
